How to Make a Claim

We hope you never need to use it, but if something happens to your bike, Sundays makes the claims process as straightforward as possible. Claims can be submitted online 24/7.

When can you make a claim?

  • Your bike was stolen
  • Your bike was accidentally or maliciously damaged and the repair cost exceeds your deductible
  • You were injured in a crash while riding your insured bike

The 3-step claims process:

Step 1 — Tell us what happened Report the incident as soon as possible. For any theft, attempted theft, or malicious damage, you will need a police report to make a claim.

Step 2 — We notify the carrier Once we receive the required documentation, we notify Tokio Marine Canada Ltd and supply them with the details. They will review and make a decision.

Step 3 — Get back on your bike Once approved, your bike will be repaired or replaced, or you'll receive a payment for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.

What you may need to provide:

  • Description of the incident
  • Purchase receipt for your bicycle
  • Photos of the damage or incident area
  • If stolen: proof of lock use (e.g., receipt for the lock, photo of the cut lock, lock key, evidence of forced entry)
  • Police report (required for all theft, attempted theft, and malicious damage claims)
  • Your bicycle's serial number (if stolen)
